July - September
Selective Weed Control Apply herbicides to areas that did not receive an earlier treatment. Do not mow for three days either side of the application.
Total Weed Control Ensure weeds are treated as soon as possible and before seeding. Where invasive weed or noxious weeds are identified, ensure full compliance with the Weed Control Act.
Fertiliser Application Replace nutrients lost through mowing and build a strong root system. Liquid fertiliser applications are ideal as there are no unsightly granules left on the surface.
Aquatic Weeds Weeds left untreated thrive under good growing conditions. Take measure to control algae as soon as possible. Ensure that permission is obtained before starting any treatments.
Growth Regulators Applications to retard grass growth will reduce mowing frequency and the number of visits to remote areas. Growth regulators also restrict seed head development.
Pest & Disease Control Late summer applications will control chafer grubs and leather jacket larvae. Systemic fungicide treatments will control Fusarium attack.
